Troja

Troja is our local OSINT system with an eye for the unsaid: it reads the global media spectrum – including state media and think tanks –, reads between the lines, links actors, relationships and events into a knowledge graph, and checks claims against independent hard data. All with visible provenance and freshness.

Principles

How Troja thinks

01

No source is proof

Every source is a signal, not proof. Even propaganda is read deliberately – as signal, never as truth.

02

Silence is a signal

What is not said matters. Troja watches for the unsaid, not just the spoken.

03

Even the check source is checked

A verification source that finds nothing does not mean nothing happened – it may just have been blind. Troja stays skeptical, even of itself.

Capabilities

What Troja does

Reading between the lines

Framing

Per item: core claim, stance, loaded terms, hidden responsibility and what is left unsaid – language-independent.

Knowledge graph

Actors & relations

Who does what to whom: actors, relationships and events linked into a searchable graph – with evidence and confidence.

Files & dossiers

Per actor

One page per company, person, organization, country or currency – profile, relationships, events and sources with a timeline.

Fact-check against hard data

Reality, not opinion

Verifiable claims are held against independent hard data – not against other news.

Event fusion

Across sources & languages

The same occurrence from many sources and languages is merged into one event – the differences in framing become visible.

Source track record

Earned reliability

For every source: how often were its claims right? Reliability that emerges from real fact-checks.

The core

Checked against reality, not against other news

What sets it apart from pure bias aggregators: Troja holds claims against independent hard data – physical sensors, public registers and official statistics. Every check is tiered by independence: a physical measurement outweighs a media-derived figure.

  • Earthquakes – against seismic services
  • Fire & heat – against satellite data, incl. cloud check (overcast → not verifiable)
  • Flight movements – against open ADS-B data
  • Sanctions – against public lists (OFAC, UN)
  • Economic figures – against World Bank & co.
  • Disasters – against independent reporting services

Every claim gets a traceable verdict – corroborated, contradicted, no signal or not verifiable – with visible source and freshness.

In the Network

A subsystem of Berlin – fully local

Troja operates as a subsystem of Berlin, our central AI core. It runs around the clock on our own hardware in Germany, driven by local AI models – without any cloud. Results flow back to Berlin and are available to the other systems.
